Všeobecná anthroposofická společnost (Allgemeine Anthroposophische Gesellschaft - AAG) sídlí v Goetheanu v Dornachu, ale působí po celém světě. Je organizována decentrálně v místních pobočkách, regionálních střediscích a národních společnostech, které jsou ekonomicky nezávislé a organizují své činnosti samostatně. Spektrum jejích aktivit sahá od pořádání konferencí, přes otevřená diskusní setkání až k tematickým, specializovaným pracovním skupinám. V současnosti spojuje stovky skupin, poboček a národních společností v 78 zemích na všech kontinentech. Je komunitou lidí, kteří jsou přesvědčeni, že správným řešením pro budoucnost je duchovní prohloubení života, které nabízí anthroposofie Rudolfa Steinera. Jako „duši“ v sobě nese Svobodnou vysokou školu pro duchovní vědu s jejími sekcemi specializovanými na různé oblasti života a práce.
